Before delving into the specifics of this post, keep in mind that it does not encourage you to execute the method shared and is not financial advice. This post is intended for informational purposes only, and readers should conduct their own research before investing and risking their hard-earned money.

Having said that, let’s get into the topic.

Introduction

I noticed a drop notification on Rarity.tools or another Nft marketplace. I’m ecstatic and would love to mint the NFT. The deadline approaches, and when we attempt to connect to the website using our wallet, it takes a long time to connect, fails to connect, or fails to mint the NFT. Furthermore, we may lose some ETH as gas from a failed transaction.

Within a few minutes, a pop-up message stated, “SOLD OUT.” How did this happen? We’ll talk about what goes on behind the scenes.

Specifics

You will need the project’s Eth minting contract address using which the NFTs are minted. The Meta mask is installed on your Chrome browser as an extension.

In Detail

Once you have caught hold of the contract address, navigate to etherscan.io

As an example, I am picking the Sad Frog District.

Please note, you can not mint these any more as they are all sold out.

Lets navigate to Etherscan, paste the contract address and hit the search icon.

Etherscan

You will now be able to see something like below.

Contract address / Eth Explorer

Our interest at this point in time is the tab Contract

Click on the contract which has a tick mark.

Hit on Web3 connection and connect your wallet.

Under the payable amount, enter the amount of ether which the official team has announced per drop.

Making the bid

Note: The labeling could be different on certain contracts. A few may display Mint Frogs/Mint as their project name and a few may not.

And now hit the write button.

This will open up a contract interaction confirmation dialogue window. Accept or reject based on what you choose.

Final Thoughts

Well, this is just a quick way of doing things. Put some extra gas in and your NFT will be minted. Please be very careful with what you do with your funds. Certain failed transactions can burn a lot of gas.
